Shirley Historical Society Museum is Open most Mondays
and
Saturdays
from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
for visitors, researchers, and volunteers
The current
Museum display is about Getting Ready for
the Wedding
- The Hope Chest, The Trousseau, The Gown. 19th and 20th century
wedding gowns are on display along with old wedding photos and
many handcrafted items
that would have gone into the Hope Chest.

Anthony's Bazaar - food, games, sales

at
Shirley Rod and Gun Club. Featuring great food, raffles, prizes, and
entertainment provided by the Monadnock Bluegrass Band. Shirley Rod & Gun Club Events
Friday September 10th - at the Museum -7:00 PM - Historical Society
Business meeting. 7:30 PM - Opening reception for display on Bemis Company
History.
This business is 100 years old in 2010 and has spent over a dozen years
here in Shirley. Come learn and see what they are all about.
Sunday September 12th - 1:00 PM - Guided tour of the Shirley Shaker
Village
site. Reservations MUST be made in advance. Contact the SHS Museum for

Proceeds from this event will be shared by the Meetinghouse, Center
Town Hall and Shirley Senior Center
Saturday October 2nd - at the Museum - 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM - Annual
Autumn Sale Day - books, baked goods, crafts, yard sale
items, gift shop souvenirs. Donations and customers are needed.
Sunday October 3rd - 4th Annual Day of
Play and Shirley
Education Foundation Walk/Run Fundraiser Events start in the
morning on the Center Common
Sunday October 10th - 1:00 PM - Guided
tour of the Shirley Shaker
Village
site. Reservations MUST be made in advance. Contact the SHS Museum for
details.
Saturday October 29th at the Bull Run Dinner-and-a-Show
to benefit preservation of Shirley's Historic Meetinghouse.
Cocktail hour starts at 6:00 PM
